Who Are We?
Reach For Jobs is the Internet Division of Berkshire Career Management Limited (BCML) Set up in 1997 the company has assisted many hundreds of people to examine their careers and develop the job hunting skills to achieve success. Internet and telephone based programmes are available nationally. We are based in the Reading and North Hampshire area and work throughout the Thames Valley and the South for face to face programmes.
Who Will Advise Us?
What is the background of the advisers?/ The consultants who will work with you have many years experience across a wide range of occupations and at all business levels. They have worked in front line business roles in situations as diverse as small business to a FTSE top 10 company and in Engineering, Business Operations and Planning, Sales and Marketing, Human Resources, Academic and Computing. We are experienced in helping people from clerical through to managing director level. If we do not believe we have the necessary expertise then we will tell you.
Who is it Suitable For?
The programme is most suitable for those with at least one year's work experience and from 20 upwards. We have successfully worked with clients from graduates seeking their first job change, people returning to the job market after a break, those made redundant and through to people in their early sixties.

What is different to just buying a book?
There are numerous books on the market which will provide approaches to the job market but none of these are interactive in the way our programmes are. The book has to be written at a level of detail which will suit all levels of reader and thus may be very general. If you don’t understand you can ask us - try that with a book.
In addition with our interactive components you will be challenged on what you do whereas when you read a book you rarely criticise yourself. Add to these the further advantage that we know your current situation and job targets and can focus your time on what will really help, then there is no real comparison.
Why Not Just Get a Professionally Written CV?
There are many places where you can get your CV written and typed and if you feel the only problem is the quality of you typing presentation and / or ability to write sentences then these might help. Most CV writers will take your existing work and can make the above improvements but they cannot focus the content because they do not interact with you and have not assisted in your job targeting.
Where Can We meet
Face to face meetings are available both on a one to one basis and through seminars. These are available in the Thames Valley and South and clients are welcome to travel to meet us. Seminars depend on having sufficient clients available at the time to run them.

Unadertised Market - you don’t mention it when competitors do?
References to the unadvertised market appear in many similar offerings and the unadvertised market is highlighted as one to which they can give you special access. We can do that as well. In our work with you we will tutor you in ways of opening up this market if it will work for you.
However the number of providers who can provide you with lists of truly unadvertised vacancies is very small as it costs them a great deal of money (and thus a high cost to you).
